The academic year at the University of Bialystok is divided in two semesters (winter and summer). The first one begins in the first days of October (with a two–week break for Christmas and New Year), the second semester starts in February and lasts until the end of June (with a week break for Easter holidays).
Each semester ends with a two-week exam session. The winter semester make up exam session is scheduled in mid February and the summer semester make up session is moved to the two weeks of July.
