On May 27, 2025, the Faculty of Law, University of Białystok hosted an 12th International PhD Students’ Conference on Competition Law: Developments in Antitrust Liability. The event brought together young researchers and experts in the field of competition law from Poland and abroad, offering them a platform to present research results, exchange views and establish international scientific contacts.
The conference was opened by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law for Science - dr hab. Elżbieta Kużelewska, prof. UwB, emphasizing the importance of international scientific cooperation and exchange of experiences among young researchers.
During the conference, eight papers were presented on changes in the scope of liability for infringement of competition law in the public and private law dimension.
The speakers included: prof. Imelda Maher (Dublin College University), prof. Łukasz Grzejdziak (University of Strathclyde), prof. Solomon Menabdishvili (Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University) and prof. Magnus Strand (Uppsala University), as well as PhD students – Abdullah Ahmed T. Alhamami (Dublin College University), Weronika Herbet-Homenda (University of Warsaw), Ilona Janciauskaite (Mykolas Romeris University) and Albert Miecznik (University of Białystok).
The conference was organized by dr hab. Anna Piszcz, prof. UwB, dr Paulina Korycińska-Rządca, dr Karolina Zapolska and the Student Economic Law Club.
The event was co-financed by the Minister of Science under the "Regional Excellence Initiative" program.
