We cordially invite you to a lecture on Amish crime and the applicability of routine activities theory to understand the risk of victimization among members of this religious subculture. The presentation will be conducted by Prof. Joseph F. Donnermeyer - Professor Emeritus of Ohio State University, on October 15th at 12 pm in room 310 at he Faculty of Law.
The goal of this presentation is to introduce the essential characteristics of the Amish as a religious subculture, followed by the heuristics of criminological theories of place, especially routine activities theory, to understanding their risk to victimization. This presentation will use materials from recently published article in the quarterly publication, Security Journal.
