We invite researchers and practitioners to participate in the international conference Beyond the City, dedicated to crime, justice, security and social change in rural and peripheral communities.
The conference will take place on 14–15 September 2026 at the Faculty of Law, University of Białystok, Poland.
The event brings together scholars and professionals from criminology, law, sociology, rural studies, geography, environmental studies and related disciplines to discuss contemporary challenges affecting rural areas, including safety, victimisation, environmental risks, access to justice and social exclusion.
The conference offers an interdisciplinary and international forum for academic exchange, comparative perspectives and collaboration between research and practice.
