The Faculty of Law of the University of Bialystok has taken third place among public universities in the national Ranking of Law Faculties prepared by Rzeczpospolita. We are particularly proud to have been ranked first in the category of research potential — an important recognition of the research conducted at the Faculty and of the academic achievements of our staff.
The Rzeczpospolita Ranking is one of the most important national rankings assessing law faculties in Poland. It takes into account, among other things, research potential, quality of education, the economic careers of graduates, and the results of entrance examinations for legal professional training.
“Ranking results are always only one way of looking at academic life, but we receive this result with genuine satisfaction. We are especially pleased to be placed among law faculties with such significant achievements, tradition and recognition. We see it as confirmation of the value of the everyday work of the people who create our Faculty,” emphasises dr hab. Artur Olechno, prof. UwB, Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bialystok.
Third place in the ranking and the highest score for research potential are not only a reason for satisfaction, but also an encouragement to continue our efforts to develop research, improve the quality of education, and prepare students well for the challenges of the contemporary world.
In recent years, the Faculty has modernised its study programmes, placing greater emphasis on the development of competences needed by graduates in a changing social and professional environment. Cooperation with institutional and social partners is also of great importance to us, as it allows us to better connect the academic perspective with practice.
“We want to be a place where students are not anonymous, where staff have space for development, and where cooperation with partners helps us better understand the reality for which we prepare our graduates,” adds the Dean.
We treat this result as a shared success of our staff, students, doctoral candidates, graduates, as well as all people and institutions cooperating with the Faculty.
