Prof. zw. dr hab. dr h. c. Emil W. Pływaczewski appointed to The Jury of The Stockholm Prize in Criminology
We would like to kindly inform you that Professor Emil W. Pływaczewski – the Dean of the Faculty of Law at University of Białystok (Poland), was elected to The Jury of The Stockholm Prize in Criminology – an independent international body that selects and appoints the prize recipients from submitted nominations.
The Stockholm Prize in Criminology is an international award in the field of criminology established under the aegis of the Swedish Ministry of Justice. It is granted to practitioners for outstanding achievements in criminological research or for the application of research results for the reduction of crime and the advancement of human rights.
The Prize Jury consists of distinguished criminologists and practitioners of criminology, such as internationally recognised scholars, law enforcement officials and former prize recipients. Professor Emil W. Pływaczewski is the first scholar from the Central and Eastern Europe to participate in the composition of the jury.
